Dental
implants - the modern solution
Dental
implants are man-made replacements for tooth roots that have
been lost. They've caused a revolution in dentistry, because
they mimic a real tooth - behaving similar to real roots and
even bonding naturally with the jawbone. A new ceramic tooth
is placed on top of the implant.
Millions
of people all over the world now enjoy Nobel Biocare implants.
This simple procedure can transform your confidence and improve
your looks.
In
our practice we use Nobel Biocare implants whose tolerance
by the body is well documented with clinical research. In
most circumstances, the implant is inserted on an out-patient
basis. The patient is treated under local anesthetic or, if
requested, general anesthesia. The duration of the healing
period, which lasts until the bone has grown intact around
the Titanium implant, is one to four months. Until the new
tooth is affixed to the implant, closing the gap, the client
will use a high-quality and completely functional provisional
prosthetic.
With
regular check-ups and good oral-hygiene, the new tooth can
last a lifetime
